Background on State Laws

North Carolina’s program limits patients to cannabidiol preparations with 0.3 percent or less THC, in compliance with USDA hemp standards. The state has yet to authorize CBD product production or distribution. The state provides for no method of safe and legal access. If you are arrested for the possession of CBD oil, you will have an affirmative defense in court. Out of state patient registrations are not recognized in the state of North Carolina.
